Goals for My Fundraiser:
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that helps students explore STEM through hands-on projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.
What is ‘Family Digital Wellness Platform’
Develop a web-based platform that delivers empathetic, family-oriented educational content focused on mental health and societal safety. This option best integrates the student’s creative passion for family-oriented content with their technical and analytical skills. It offers a strong, community-impacting solution by addressing mental health and societal safety, and aligns perfectly with the advocate business potential and key tasks such as verbal communication, risk management, and effective time management.
Why I am pursuing this project (My why)
- I am a ‘Community Builder’ personality type person with strong ‘advocate’ business potential.
- I’m using my passion for making cool, family-friendly web stuff and my knack for sports and tech to create a project as a software developer for charities. My goal? To make the world safer and help improve mental health. Let’s do something amazing!.
My plan of action: Competitions and Activities
TSA – TSA is the primary CTSO that supports technological innovation and hands-on projects, providing opportunities to hone IT, communication, and project management skills essential for developing socially conscious software.
FBLA – FBLA nurtures business leadership, verbal communication, and risk management skills through competitive events and community projects, making it ideal for students with an advocate mindset.
Competitions
This introductory competition fits the project by developing foundational coding and problem‐solving skills that are essential for building a digital wellness platform.
FBLA – Website Coding & Development
This introductory competition supports building web-based solutions and developing backend coding skills, aligning with the need to create a digital platform that is user-friendly and secure.
As an advanced competition for Year 2, this contest helps enhance storytelling and digital communication skills, vital for promoting the Family Digital Wellness Platform.
This advanced competition challenges the student to develop a comprehensive business plan, market strategy, and prototype development for the passion project, ensuring long-term viability.
